Senior Android Engineer

For the android role, the team is mostly looking for a specialist, and the individual will be responsible for a UI rewrite and migrating to Kotllin as their development language (as a sell point, not a resume requirement).  We will have two of those, so the team can be a little flexible on level for each.**

As a Software Mobile Engineer you will contribute to the design and development of new applications and new features for mobile solutions. We are looking for bright and creative engineers to enhance and maintain our flagship mobile application as well as help drive the creation of future mobile products. You will work with new and existing mobile technologies to deliver the best mobile experience to our users. If you believe you have what it takes to get the job done, we would like to talk to you.

      •Participate in requirements gathering, brainstorming and technical design sessions
      •Solve complex issues on using your aforementioned awesome code
      •Ensure that your awesome code is well tested, maintainable and loved by your fellow team members
      •Analyze existing code and products to find ways to make them more awesome
      •Debugging code as needed
      •Becoming a versatile and needed member of the team and helping others do the same
      •Learn new technologies as needed and desired
      •Manage your time to deliver that awesome code when the business needs it
      •As a senior level developer, mentor junior developers
       
       

      Education, Experience & Training required:

      • •BSCS, BSEE, or equivalent years of work experience.
        •6+ years in a related software development role
        •2+ years of experience with Android application development
        •Understanding of web services, REST, SOAP and the HTTP protocol

        Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:

        •Experience working with agile methods and teams to develop and release products
        •Demonstrated experience building and delivering well-received mobile apps
        •Knowledge of, exposure to, and interest in cloud computing is a strong plus
        •Demonstrated knowledge of software development tools and processes including Android Studio, Ant, Gradle, and Git
        •Ability to analyze complex problems and present multiple solutions
        •Effective communication skills, especially within teams and with technical information
        •Have a firm grasp of analytics and how to effectively measure your code
